General Information:
Pope Leo XIV declared 2026 a special Jubilee Year in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. In response, the Diocese of Richmond named St. Clare of Assisi Retreat Center in Hampton, Virginia as one of four of the approved pilgrimage sites for this sacred celebration marking the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ death.
St. Thérèse pilgrimage groups will be travelling to the retreat center on the above dates to spend time in private prayer and meditation, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and Mass. Also, if intended by the individual participant, to receive a Plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions is possible.
The faithful are invited to experience the spiritual richness of pilgrimage to this designated pilgrimage site right here in nearby Hampton, Virginia.
