With the popularity of automatic bill payment services increasing, the Finance Council surveyed the parish to determine the amount of interest in this option for Church contributions. We are pleased to be able to offer this option for both regular offertory contributions (either weekly or monthly) as well as for the monthly debt reduction contributions.
Here’s how it works:
1.)
If you are interested in participating in this option, complete and submit the written authorization to have our bank deduct your contribution(s) from your checking or savings account on a frequency you designate. There is no charge to you for this service. (Your authorization can be changed or stopped at any time by completing a new form.) When making payments electronically, your account is protected by federal regulations.
2.)
Your contributions will be processed on the frequency you indicate and will be included in your year-end tax statement.
3.)
We will continue to send offertory envelopes to you:
a. there are special collections you may want to contribute to which are not covered by the Automatic Giving Option, and
b. important informational flyers are often included in the envelope mailing that you would otherwise not receive if we stopped sending them.
c. some people prefer to place their empty envelope in the Sunday collection as a tangible sign of their commitment to tithing. If you choose this option, please mark the envelopes “AG” (Automatic Giving) or “EFT” (Electronic Funds Transfer).
If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email Megan Malhiot (mmalhiot@sttheresechesva.org).
Thank you for your continued financial support of the Church. Without you, the many good works that we do here at St. Thérèse would not be possible.
